BPH Authority is being built as independent decision infrastructure: a normalized treatment model, practical evaluation guide, private navigator, and capability-level provider directory.
The problem
Patients often encounter isolated technology pages. Each page explains why one procedure is attractive, but not how it compares with medication, a different office procedure, artery embolization, TURP, Aquablation, HoLEP, or large-gland surgery.
The product
Every option is forced into the same decision schema: mechanism, anatomy, symptom fit, recovery, benefit, durability, sexual effects, bleeding, implant, pathology, future options, access, failure paths, and questions.
The directory
The directory will describe exact program capabilities with source dates and independent verification states. It will not imply expertise merely because a manufacturer locator or marketing page names a provider.
The business model
Future sponsorship or enhanced profiles must be conspicuous and structurally separate from clinical verification and organic ordering. Patient-specific referral-fee models require separate legal review and are not part of this launch.
What the site does not do
- Diagnose the cause of urinary symptoms or determine procedural candidacy
- Rank treatments with one opaque score
- Publish “best doctor” claims based on payment, reviews, or unverified marketing
- Claim medical review without a named reviewer and recorded review date
- Collect medical records, free-text symptoms, or sensitive intake in ordinary analytics
